I , along with Rafaella Poppe, Romina Lizier, Chiara Dasso and Isa Wichtel decided to create a pajama business. We named it Siesta. As the project started we jumped directly into doing the designs, how we were going to organize the publicity campaign, planning dates to buy fabric etc. We were extremely motivated to get going and making it happen.
Yesterday as we ended with our planning board, we realized that we were moving ahead perfectly on schedule, we were all very motivated and ready to get the pajamas done.
Everything was moving forward, until we all came to the realization that we were working to get the pajamas done, instead of using our enthusiasm and our motivations to create a brand with value .
So we stopped, and though what we wanted our brand, our pajamas to stand for.
We started from 0 and ma de ourselves questions like:
Who is our target audience?
Why did we choose that audience?
Why pajamas?
Why did we choose those designs?
What did we want from pajamas?
We brainstormed, thought, argued and finally we got it. We wanted pajamas for girls, like us. Pajamas that were beautiful, and made girls feel pretty and special even if it was to go to sleep.
We already had a mission and goal as a brand. From there we already had a clear plan of the direction that we want to take as a brand. From here, we adjusted some of the designs, and had a better idea of what the logo would look like.
Some inspirations we found for the logo of our brand " Siesta":
This is what we thought of:
